What is an Amber Necklace?

Since I became a mother, I've learned so many tips and tricks. One thing you learn fast is teething is an inevitable obstacle you and your baby have to get through. There are many products on the market to help with this process. My favorite is the amber necklace. My mom bought one for my daughter when she was about 4 months old. She's now 20 months and has worn it everyday since she got it. It was only $20 at our favorite health food store, Native Sun. Every where we go, people comment about how cute it is, ask about it's purpose, and if it really works.

There are many brands out there but I've only used "Amber by Amanda". I really like the quality and style of this brand. So what exactly is an amber necklace? The idea is when the amber gemstone is against the skin, it is effective at preventing pain and reducing slobbering while babies and toddlers are cutting teeth. The information below states many other possible benefits of using the necklace. My daughter, Lights, almost has all her teeth and the only time I notice her slobbering is when she's really chewing on something. My mom noticed she doesn't seem to be as fussy or have as much slobber as me and my sister were when we were cutting teeth.

Since we got the necklace, I've noticed many other kids wearing them so they seem to be gaining popularity. They come in a variety of colors, most often yellow, but I snagged one of the darker shades for Lights. It goes with every outfit she has so it's not only a classic accessory, but a continuous pain reliever. It's easy to put on and take off and she's so used to it, she doesn't even notice it most of the time. We always take it off when she sleeps for safety, but other than that, she's always wearing I highly recommend giving it a try to see if it could benefit your child!
